Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Balls

I can’t even believe it is September! No wonder I’m starting to get the itch to buy all sorts of different squashes and make pumpkin everything! To kick off the fall season, and FINALLY, get back into blogging (hopefully!), I’ll pass along a recipe for delicious fall flavors packed into little chocolately protein energy balls! Use these for an afternoon pick-me-up, a pre or post workout energy source, or a healthy snack for you and your kiddos when you head for the apple orchard. I adapted this recipe from the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Energy Balls recipe to make Clean Food Crush’s energy balls…

5 Steps to an Easier Week and a Better Shopping Day

What is grocery shopping like for you?! I think that all of us can find grocery shopping just a bit crazy at times, especially with children and a full schedule. Getting to the store, through the store, and back home while staying sane is a quite an accomplishment. For me, even with one little man, grocery shopping has become a much bigger ordeal. There have been many times that Oakley has begun exercising his lungs with loud cries in the middle of the grocery store, many other times that I pick him up to discover he has wet or pooped…

Product Recommendation: Labor and Nursing Gown

Andrew and I planned on having a home birth, and I wanted something comfy and cute to wear! Now when it comes to having a baby, modesty seems relatively impossible! Call me crazy, but that part about having a baby made me a little nervous!! 🙂 I knew I would feel better if I could find something to wear during labor and delivery that covered my body, yet wouldn’t get in the way and would be easy to nurse in afterward too! I found something that looked like a possibility on Amazon and put it on my baby registry. My…

Preparing My Heart For Labor and Delivery | 13 Scriptures to Meditate On

As Oakley’s due date got closer and anticipation mounted, I found my excitement mixed with fearfulness. Many times in my third trimester, I would think, “I’ll go through anything to get this baby out, so I can meet him!” followed by, “Actually, maybe not quite yet!” I never had gone through this whole having a baby thing, and I heard it is just a bit painful. Even my 8 year old nephew would come up to me before Oakley was born, put his hand on my shoulder, and say, “You know, Suey, having a baby is going to be the most…

Fact or Fiction: Are the Bible’s Claims True?

November 30th, 2011 Susanna Biddinger Fact or Fiction Across the ages, many have debated over the authenticity of the Bible. Since its birth, many have sought to destroy the Bible. Many have persistently argued that this ancient document is riddled with errors, while young and old have died for its preservation and unwaveringly defended its contents. Being written over a span of about 1,500 years, on three continents (Asia, Africa, & Europe), and in three separate languages (Hebrew, Greek, & Aramaic), the Bible stands out as a much different document than any other, religious or otherwise. Over forty authors penned…

Our LOVE Story (Part 3 ~ The Day I Said “Yes!”)

~Read Our LOVE Story (Part 1) and Our LOVE Story (Part 2)~ Sweetest Day, Saturday, October 18th, 2014 was coming up! Andrew said to save the day and that we would do something together. I couldn’t wait! I knew that our relationship was headed toward marriage, but I had no idea when Andrew was going to propose – though, I thought it wouldn’t be for a while. Andrew had just gotten a new job, and I knew he probably wanted to get his feet under him and save for a while before we started our new life together. However, that…

Signature of Design: Seeing God’s Fingerprints in Creation

*NOTE: I love apologetics! It makes me excited to be able to research, read, and think about why I believe what I believe. As a young teenager, I realized that my faith had to become my own (not my parents’, friends’, or anyone else’s). It had to be real to me. I could not put my faith into something and live my life for something that other people said was right, but I did not know intimately myself. Throughout the years and through seeing God’s unmistakable presence in my life, research, reading, and pondering I have only become more convinced…

Meet Oakley James!

Our baby boy, Oakley James Biddinger, was born on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at 10:51 in the morning! Andrew and I are so ecstatic to have him here! Our little man was born 8 days before his due date; at birth, he measured 22 and 1/2 inches and weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces. At his five day check-up with our midwife, he was already nine pounds; and at his 10 day check-up he was 9 pounds 14 ounces!!! That’s over a pound and a half that he has gained in 10 days. I can’t believe how fast he is growing…

Our LOVE Story (Part 2)

~ If you haven’t read Our LOVE Story (Part 1), check it out here! ~ A large 8 passenger van pulled up to my house. It was old, rusty, and, a bit looking like it could fall apart at any moment. Andrew was here to pick me up. I can tell you now that I was a secretly impressed that Andrew didn’t seem to be the kind of man who had to make a “wowing” first impression to his potential future girlfriend by driving a fancy hot rod the first time he picked her up. 🙂 Andrew jumped out of the…
